In this discussion, learn what the key challenges and roadblocks are facing some of today's largest media advertisers, packaged goods manufacturers.As Manager of Interactive Promotion and Alliances for General Mills, Geoff is responsible for identifying emerging promotional tools and technologies that the company can use to stimulate product sales. When she joined Liberty Carton in 1976, Carol quickly realized that there was significant marketing opportunity beyond the company's standard brown corrugated box - customers wanted to add attention-getting graphics, unique structure and a splash of style. With sharp instinct and entrepreneurial spirit, Carol set out to build a business that would help customers build their brands through packaging. In the early 1980's, she launched Presentation Packaging, a division of Liberty Carton. Presentation Packaging is a nationally recognized company with a reputation for creativity and trend-setting design. In addition, the company offers a vast collection of in-stock corrugated gift packaging. As General Manager for Presentation, Carol is one of the highest-ranking women within the Liberty family of businesses. She is past president of the Retail Packaging Manufacturers Association and is currently serving a third term on its board of directors. Carol is also the most recent recipient of the City Business "Most Innovative Women" Award for Entrepreneurs. As a panel participant, Carol will discuss the impact that packaging can have on building a brand and creating customer loyalty. She will discuss how the perfect combination of color, structure and graphics can result in a package that sells itself.

William Schultz, Segment Manager, Corporate and Creative Imation Color Technologies, Oakdale, MN Bill Schultz is a 20 year veteran of 3M and Imation where he has held numerous sales and marketing positions both in the U.S. and internationally. His experiences range from Sales and Marketing Operations, Corporate Branding and Identity to his most current position as Segment Manager for the Corporate and Creative Markets within Imation's Color Technologies business. Imation, a global technology company supplies a variety of products and services specializing in data storage and information management, color management and imaging solutions. In 2000, the Company reported revenues of $1.2 billion and employs approximately 4,300 people worldwide.
