- Creating an integrated sales and marketing roadmap
- Development of business-fit blueprints
- Key roles of marketing in support of sales
- Development of an integrated sales doctrine
The discussion will focus on actionable initiatives to create concrete and sustainable outcomes with application across all market segments. The principles are a result of integrating, developing and refining best-practice approaches with a strong bias for practical application and tangible results. Phil Styrlund is currently Vice President of Sales Operations for ADC The Broadband Company. Prior to joining ADC, Phil spent 17 years at US West in management positions in Engineering, Operations, Finance Marketing and Sales. Phil graduated from Augsburg College with a double major in Business Administration and Finance and a minor in Political Science. He subsequently earned an M.S. in Telecommunications Science and an M.A. in Business Management from St. Mary's College. Phil is very active in the community and currently serves on the Board of Urban Ventures Leadership Foundation, Church Metro, and the Management Assistance Program ( MAP). He also is currently the co-lead for the capital campaign for the Colin Powell Youth Leadership Center in south Minneapolis and is leading the capital campaign for the Carmelite Monastery in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. Before joining Target, Brigid enjoyed 11 years in sales, sales management and consulting for IBM. Prior to IBM, Brigid was a marketing analyst for Fingerhut Corporation. When she began her career, she says she knew she wanted to work in environments that would constantly be changing and provide fertile ground for continuous learning. Brigid likes the dynamic environment created by the Internet and feels SimonDelivers.com provides an excellent opportunity for creative problem solving in an arena that requires savvy in marketing, operations and technology. Plus, it's really fun to see customers become incredibly excited about having their groceries carried right into their kitchens! Brigid, 41, received a bachelor's degree from Iowa State University with a double major in Journalism and Industrial Administration, and a master's degree in Business from Harvard University. She is married to Tim McCarthy and has two young children. Brigid's motto is "work hard/play hard." And when's she's playing, she enjoys chasing after her kids and doing activities in the Great Outdoors, including biking, golf, boating, sailing, running and traveling.
