Morning Workshop Is Your Business Consultant Some Yahoo Named Google? Sam Richter, President, James J. Hill Reference Library Sam Richter |
Ninety percent of all small business failures can be traced to poor management resulting from lack of knowledge. Too many businesses today base their business and marketing plans on "gut feels" or "hunches"; and all too often, lack the substantive data that can support strategies and tactics. While it's true that a tremendous amount of information can be found via Yahoo and Google, much of the best business information is now only available via costly subscription databases. At the same time, there's so much information, the need for an expert researcher on your team has never been greater. In "Is Your Business Consultant Some Yahoo Named Google," you will learn resources readily available where you can get the information your business needs to succeed. You'll learn what's going on in the world of business information and what we all need to do to ensure the budding entrepreneur has equal access to the same information resources as large firms. Speaker Bio Sam Richter, president of the James J. Hill Reference Library in St. Paul, Minnesota (www.jjhill.org), has more than 18 years experience in advertising, public relations and e-marketing managing full marketing programs for some of the world's most famous brands. Now he's leading the Hill Library, the nation's premier source for practical business information for more than 80 years, into a new, "high-tech, high touch" world. Sam is a keynote speaker and presenter to organizations and companies across North America. Matt Noah |
