GE acquired Osmonics, creating GE Water Technologies. GE needed to supply complex proposals to a larg sales force, unfamiliar with the product. GE approached The Weidt Group to create an online automated proposal generation system that gathers water needs and site requirements, helps select and size the reverse osmosis and treatment equipment, calculates consumption and financing options, and creates a comprehensive custom proposal, presented in Word format. The online tool supplies management with a clean, accurate view of proposal activity, used for purchasing and manufacturing forecasting, and sales management. Join Tim and Leo to hear the story of a successful sales force automation project, how project requirements evolved, the design of the technical solution, and the challenges and surprises along the way.
