We are fortunate to have the enthusiasm and creativity of high-schoolers representing several Twin Cities DECA chapters in attendance for this January meeting.  Morning breakouts and activities are planned for the students to learn more about careers in sales and marketing.  All students will then attend the lunch program. Dr. Christopher Puto, Dean of the College of Business, University of St. Thomas

How is the marketing profession changing and what are the opportunities tomorrow? Come and learn about the latest trends and what you need to do to excel in today’s environment. Dr. Puto will share his vast experience from his early days when he was actively involved in developing the strategic foundations for the “Have It Your Way” campaign to the latest trends in marketing strategy and advertising.

Dr. Christopher Puto is Dean of the College of Business at the University of St. Thomas. Prior to joining St. Thomas, Dr. Puto served as Dean of the Robert Emmett McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. During his tenure as Dean, the McDonough School MBA program rose to number 22 in the US News and World Report rankings and was named a top-tier business school for the first time in the prestigious Business Week national rankings. Under his leadership, the International Executive MBA was ranked number 9 in the world in Business Week’s most recent review of Executive MBA programs.

Dean Puto’s academic specialties are marketing strategy, consumer and managerial decision-making and advertising.
