New SME Roundtable Starting February 9th, 2012
Demand for More SMEMN Members-Only Roundtables is High. New One Starting February 9th.
We’re starting a 3rd roundtable group within the association. This new group meets the second Thursday of each month, at 4 p.m. Inaugural session slated for Thursday, February 9th.
The group is for current or former sales managers and is titled: Driving Results Through Others.
Group members will collaborate to more effectively identify & achieve goals and make better decisions. Learn from the experience of others sales leaders in the group and access expertise through their network of ideas, feedback, and resources. I will be facilitating and hosting at Business Efficacy’s World Headquarters in Minnetonka.

SME member since: 1999. Past Board member, VP Education. Met Gary Hogan while at college and he sponsored me into the group. He will always be a great mentor and friend.

The SME community recently lost a dear friend… SME “icon” Gary M. Hogan, CME, CPC, SME Past President (1984-1985).
Age 68, Gary passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 22nd.
There are not enough “Garys” in the world today! A colleague at SME, a wise business consultant, a “sounding board,” a person of impact, a step-up helper, a “behind the scenes” leader, a get it done one way or another kind of guy, and will be most remembered as a faithful friend who ALWAYS cared! He was so proud of his wife and all his kids! He always said SME was “spiritually infectious” to him and treasured his friendships. Gary was the “membership king” and personally brought in more than 225 new members to SME over the years. Gary was President of SME from 1984-1985 and won numerous awards including the Lewis B. Miller (Outstanding Service Award), the Edmand F. Mair Award (SME Member of the Year), the Arthur H. (Red) Motley Trophy (Committee Chairperson of the Year), the Charles W. Bronstien (Youth Education Trophy), Director of the Year, and numerous President Awards! He was currently serving as SME Advisor to the Leadership Team – still working diligently for SME! Gary was also CEO of Gary M. Hogan Personnel Services, Inc.
Gary leaves such a big hole in this world and will be dearly missed by so many! Thank you dear friend!!!
